>>Do you think running a hepa by your casing would drastically reduce contams.

Yes.  If you're growing in a closet or other small, enclosed room, run your HEPA in that room all the time, especially if you are going to open the lid of your terrarium.

Use your hepa when working on your jars as well

hepa unit could only help

along with making sure you are clean and your grow area remains clean

cant forget the clean!

just dont fall into the same mindset a guy i knew did where he thought the hepa unit would protect everything in his lab from contams no matter what.

he lost a few casings and jars before he got the idea.  silly bastard

I have my HEPA running right outside my closet at all times unless I'm knocking up jars then it goes into my clean room and back to my room when I'm done. HEPA works GREAT..

No trick...I wish i was that smart! :smirk: But in seriousness I did a casing or 2 and this other 3rd one was cased with a 2 colonized jars that were just stalled yet 98% covered - they were in the inc for about a month.  Then I cased them and within 4 days I opened it and it was beautiful like this pic above....I was wondering if I would have to wait as long as the other casings though they didn't look like this new one.  Ok.

stalled jars??  did you turn them upside down at the end?  this usually helps the co2 drain out.

Well, here is an updated pic of the casing. Notice that I had already freaked out, surgically removed the questionable area, and applied some salt and some casing mix to repair it. My pins are starting to shoot up! Won't be long now. Casing rules!!

I sure hope so. This is a pic from a little later. Its hard to tear my eyes away. And now I've got two more trays that look just like my original pic! I'll try to keep it updated, but if I do that, shouldn't I move to the grow log forum?

some of us are too lazy to migrate over there most of the time. wouldn't bother me any if you stayed, plus if you had questions your thread will get read... this is the most read area on the message board, IMO.

EDIT:
w00t! happy 200th post to me!

Grow logs are start to finish, you could have started one but now I'd just take a pics here and there so we can see your progress and save your growlog for the next grow. GL
