can anyone tell me about this mushroom

hello i found these mushrooms in my backyard and couldnt help but take a picture, i was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about them

Those appear to be Coprinus, not active, and your specimens should definately not be eaten.

thanks guys, i live in ns and the only species this site refers to as being found here is Psilocybe semilanceata, but ive tried two different types locals have picked, the semilanceata and another so i figured that there were more and these big suckers caught my eye
