Alot of people are gonna be pissed because you didn't look for this easily found answer. Ignore them man. I believe in good karma so I'll help you out.

First off, research Psilocybe Semilanceata, aka Liberty Caps. They will start fruiting mid-late oct when it starts to get cold and rain frequently.

Here is a picture of them:

They are usually a little more olive brown when wet with a slimy cap, and they will bruise blue near the base when handled.

They grow in cow pastures in med height grass (shin high) and NOT in cow pies. Check the pasture especially in shady areas along the edges. Walk along the fenceline or forest wall if there is one.

Heres a better picture of them wet:

Heres a good image of the habitat you would find them in.

There are many more to name: P. Cyanescens, P. Stuntzii, P. Baeocystis, P. Azurescens. Do the reasearch it aint hard.

If you make a find, take some pics and post it in this forum for a proper ID. Have fun!

actually, i'm going to be nice too. look here:

http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/23483

you should be able to search by your state for whatever actives grow in your area. just be sure to read up a whole lot. if you're going to get into mushroom hunting, buy a book.

oh, and don't eat any mushrooms until they've been identified by someone knowledgeable... i'd suggest reading the forum rules for describing your find and posting pictures.

good luck, and happy shrooming!
