What Fucknuckle said. Be wary. Also try to remember that alcohol can be as addictive as any opiate. Just a friendly reminder....

Paps is just fine. He's just tired of repeating the same cautionary tales time-after-time for the benefit of deaf ears. It's basically a numbers game with a 2% chance of beating the house... They come on the scene, and they say stuff like; "Hey, I'm not an addict. I'm different. I'm unique. I'm special. I'm God's chosen one." Then they wake up one morning feeling strange; then they start selling stuff; they lose their job; then they start stealing stuff; then they start trying to pimp out their girlfriend for a fix, which is fine, because they can't get it up anymore, anyway. Then they end up alone. Then they die, or worse... It's all very darwinistic, and who am I to argue with such vicious logic? I'm just some guy who survived and watched the suffering of hundreds who didn't... Not much to say, really. The wisdom, born of experience, is simply no match for the sweet and simplistic arrogance of youth. People just have to go and fuck-up on their own. It's part of their Tao; their path...

Dudes, I've done opiates twice, and I don't have a steady connection. I think I'll be ok.
Alcohol is another story though.
I just love the feeling of drinking. I drink almost every day, and whenever I go to the bar, I always ending up spending all my cash. I just can't ever turn down another drink. No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to cut myself off.

I have taken opiates for years and I WILL NEVER, become a daily user. I simply wouldnt be able to get to that point, for a number of reasons. One of which is that I already suffer from serious migraines and I KNOW that opiate WD inludes migraines, and much of my life is spent preventing migraines(eating right, not drinking alcohol) Heck, even to high of a dose of pods in one day gives me a headache sometimes. Anyway I know most people dont like to hear this, but I dont have any problems with opiates, and I am pretty sure that I never will. (I should mention that I only do Poppytea, and my experience with pills is practically nonexistent) Its all about control..and the best way to get addictied is to lose control(i.e. dosing daily)

Ok...so you've only done opiates twice and yet you already say that you "don't find opiates that addictive"?
You need to stop being so silly, especially with something as dangerous as opiates. Two times? For fuck's sake man! Did you think you'd get addicted after once or twice? Things don't work that way...
How many people become addicted from one cigarette? Yes, it is possible but it is far from the norm. The brain requires time to become addicted to a substance...you can't change brain chemistry over-night.
I happen to particularly enjoy opiates, too. Of course I do...that's what opiates do! However I will never say to myself "oh well they aren't that addictive...it's ok if I have some more today". I think you should do the same thing: pull your head out of your ass and stop thinking you are some kind of superman.

Reguardless of whether there's a potential for opiate addiction, it defintely sounds like there is already an alcohol problem. Might want to look into that.
But just to reiterate, opiates start off very slowly and pick up speed. It's just the nature of the drug.
-------------------- The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

Well, I have a somewhat addictive personality, and I have found myself craving things after one try... But not opiates.
As for alcohol though, yeah, man, well, I went all day without drinking today, even though there's a bar on campus and I had cash on me.
I'll be ok, if I can just keep myself distracted.
