I remember an old, "I Love Lucy," episode where Lucy and Ethel did some wall-papering. I'm not sure how much help it would be, but you might be able to find it on DVD and see if there's any helpful hints in it. :smile:

If you're serious about removing a large amount of it, they make steamers just for the purpose of loosening the glue to get the paper off. You can get one at a hardware store, of if you have some bucks you could hire a free-lance carpenter to take the paper off for you, assuming he has a steamer (not sure how expensive they are).

If you're a real cheap person, you can just put new wallpaper over the old stuff and if you do a good job noone can tell! It doesn't hurt the walls unless the paper you have is molding or in really crummy shape. It's always neat to do construction on an old house and rip through 8 layers of wallpaper, I've done that a few times :smile:
