Fruiting chamber too warm?...

I can't keep my fruiting chamber any cooler than 75 degrees, and most times it's high 70's becasue of ambient temperature. How much will this affect the growth of the shrooms?...personally, It seems that the cakes are taking forever to pin...

well, 2 cakes have been in there for 2 weeks and they're just starting now. The pins have been there for a week, but they just didn't do anything. They're GT. I remember from past grows when the temps were cooler that once pinning occured, it would be only about 3-4 days before harvest....

You sound like things are under control. the slightly warmer temps will make little difference in the fruits maturing, it would help to cold shock possibly, at least it may give it a kick in the pants

Mine stays between 75-79 and 71-75 when I fan it out/air it out. But gets hot again quick. Still seems to work fine for me:

Mine is 75.4 and two weeks no pins. So I ran another air pump into it to circulate more air. I hope that helps. Scatman those are beautiful.

I'm keeping the light off more because it's creating heat....maybe 4 hours a day...

That can definitely affect pinning, I suggest a fluoro above the chamber. I have seen extending the light period to 12-16hrs. make all the difference in some grows! Really Ya don't have to listen to me though. GL scatmanrav those are some beautiful classic looking Brazilians BTW!

quick question: I'm using pmp - have a air pump (profile 4400 - with 2 bubblers) - also i use an ultrasonic every now and then and it pushes air visibly out the side of the lid....like a water fall in flow. . . i shouldn't need to fan should i? -

Well your mushrooms will tell you immediately if CO2 is to high (long stems and small caps along with poor pinsets) let them be the judge

I'd listen to hyphae, hes the person who I listened to for a pinning strategy to get the flushes I get. I also use flouro bulbs for about 12 hours per day when pinning. Four hours is enough but I like 12 better until after the pinset is in, then drop back to 4 hours as it is plenty. I use them flouro bulbs that screw into regular light sockets and look twisty. Only 15 watts but puts out 60 watts worth of light. 3 of those does a really big closet and doesnt create that much heat (only about 2-3 degrees when theyre on in just about anymore). I do also have a fan in my chamber to blow around the cooler fresh air..
Thanks for the comments, the Brazils seems to put off "light" first flushes but they make up for it after and are just sooo pretty, even when you dry them they just look straight and white with a very slight blue..they cool...

hypae do you use an ultrasonic? I have one but it is not in use. I have a large air pump bubbling in geolite. I would like to hear this pinning strategy. My mycelium is colonizing my patched area, but still no pins. My temp is 75 and there is another air pump ciculating air. Also I have a large fluorescent light shinning in on them, and for about ten minutes a day the sun shines through the window on them. Doesnt raise temp but only 2 degrees. I thought this might be good for a temp fluctuation. I think I will put something over the window. Maybe temp is getting to high.

Getting the most out of your casings!, A pinning strategy I used a coolmist with manual pressurized sprayer in a perlite humidified tub before moving up up and away into the clouds (fog)

Dont forget twisty and curly stems , and in some instances massive aborts occur .

I assume you have some sort of holes in bottom of grow chamber ..... then NO fanning should not be needed much if at all .
