My Future...?
    #3166562 - 09/22/04 09:42 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

I can't figure out what do to with my life.

I don't know what I should be working towards, what sort of job I should be trying to get. I've been trying to figure out a job for years, but I still haven't figured anything out.

I don't know if I should be working towards a job that I like, that doesn't pay all that much money, or a job that pays a lot of money, that I hate, and just suck it up for a few decades, then retire. If I do work towards I job that I like, I'm still lost because I don't really know of any job I'd truly like. I just can't imagine doing something over and over again for 30 or 40 years. I can't imagine doing anything for that long without it being pure hell.

I was talking to a friend of mine who said he might join the army, because he knows someone that did it, and they liked it. And supposedly joining the Canadian army isn't as harsh as the American army. He also said people in the army, that are in trades can make $50k to $60k a year. But with prices of everything rising, I don't even know if I'll be able to have a family with that. I probably wouldn't be killed either, because the Canadian army doesn't really go to other places very often. Or atleast I don't think they do.

Any thoughts on this?

I'm feeling the same as you right now, but I know im not going to get a high paying job I don't like because I never would. Problem I have is I don't know what I like, so I don't know what to work for. I was thinking of somethign like the peace core, but I can;t find anythign out about it.

Hey Blink whats the International Red Cross?

My friend mentioned butlers can make $70k-$80k a year. But Christ, a butler? I don't think I could let myself do that.

Ya that would be a shit job. But you could have some fun by doing dirty things to your masters food and stuff like that.

i would like to start my own charity. Earn $$$ for a worthy cause, and it can support my ass as well. Maybe "the child fund", 60% goes to the kids %40 to me.

I've always wanted to find someone that believed in me enough to sponsor me...Let me do my own thing. create my art, and just be.
They would take care of my bills, groceries, etc....

but whats the chances of that happening?
