how many years do you estimate it would take for someone to get a cancer spot on there lounges from ciggarestes by smoking 1/2 pack cigs a day. i know someone can smoke cigs all there life and not get cancer others are very prone to cancer but im no cancer expert! cancer is scary : ( i think id rather be dead than suffer that expirience and you know what after 1 year of smoking cigs im thinking of quiting within the next 2-3 yrs, so is 4 years a dangers amount of years smoking cigs? what does the pub have to say.....?

(also what aboot emphasemia + heart disease)

My statistical assumption is that chemical tapering should begin when the rate of visiting ODD exceeds the rate of visiting Pub, or any other Shroomery forum.

All I know is the sooner you quit, the better. I think after a certain number of years, your lungs heal up and it's almost like you never smoked in the first place.

If you are worried how about stopping right now?

If you can't do it on your own there are plenty of programs that offer help. I'm a tobacco addict myself since 13, I really need to quit but this addiction is deep in my viens, I can't make it past 3 days, I'm going to go ask my doctor for help as soon as my medical bennifits kick in at work.

Like you said everyone is different. Some are more prone to it than others. So why not be smart about it and quit now?

yep every part in your body can heal itself (And I said heal... not regrow..) after a certain amount of time.

Well almost every part heh.

I'm floating in the sea of stars,
I'm drifting away from the shore
I will be lost in the dream when the dark days come
But I will make the time run backwards and
I'll make the stars shine again

"I think after a certain number of years, your lungs heal up and it's almost like you never smoked in the first place. "

every 7, but it does not completely heal. for example it will not get rid of non organics (usually), cancers etc. people will still have emphazyma and shit. more of a resfresh.

my gramps smoked for 45 years (starting in the navy of course). i dotn even knwo how many things he has wrong with his lungs. but he has kept active, and now he is 83 not on oxygen and doing great. he has puffers and meds, but he went up san joseph bay (5k hike) up by cape scott and that is not an easy hike for most people. then again one of my friends has been diagnosed with emphazyma after only 5 years...

After only one year, you should be okay if you stop now.
