Well, this isn't exactly an ethno, but I know there are some reputable garneders here. The particular variety is Eel River Musk Melon, from Seeds of Change. The vines are very prolific growers and only have the occasional problem of powdery mildew(which is quickly subdued by neem oil). The vines are beautiful, green and very hardy. It also has a great fruit set, but here lies the problem. Every time a fruit forms it will get to about the size of a quarter, then turn yellow and fall off. I was told this could be the result of too little calcium. I added some gypsum which I hoped would rectify this. It has not. I can simply not figure out the problem. Neem does nothing to stop it. Any advice would be wonderful. Thanks.
