Could someone experienced verify this process??
    #3161548 - 09/21/04 08:52 PM (13 years, 9 months ago)

If you see any errors or any areas which I can improve, please let me know.

I have an outdoor patch that has been colonizing for a while and I was wondering if I can take a bit of the mycelia covered straw, blend it up real well with some water, and use that innoculate a straw log. The straw log would be pastuerized using RogerRabbit's tek, which claims that using bleach and lime wards off any contaminations for a couple weeks. I was thinking using maybe 2 - 3 mycelia syringes per 3 foot log, injecting 1mL in any place I can find.

Any foreseen problems? thanks for your help/advice

So your using an outdoor patch to make a liquid myc? If so then no because you need a sterile source.

Agreed there would be so many mold spores and bacteria from a OD source That even if you were able to hold off things long enough for the myc to totally colonize there could be latent bacteria or mold spores just waiting too raise their ugly head Keep in mind this is just a good possibility keep in mind this would be a very valuable experiment gwaaaar would be doing and I for one would love to see him try and succeed! gwaaaar GL all the way bro!!!!
