Question about Puerto Ricans/PES Amazon.
    #3160054 - 09/21/04 03:45 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

My cow hasn't grown with PR's yet and is getting a little ansy in the pantsy about it. He's heard that they colonize very quickly but where you run into problems is in the fruiting. His setup is basically 1/2pt BRF jars for colonizing and a rubbermade container/pearlite/light for fruiting. Is there anything you could sugguest to make his grow a lot more fruitful?

Also got a batch of PES Amazon coming in and would like to know if I should be taking any extra precautions on that.

Thanks for your help,

Sammy

i would say just make sure you dunk and roll. then the cakes should produce some nicer/bigger fruits.

Ok I tried checking out the Dunk and Roll meathod.. what's it all about. I'm familiar with the Dunking part, but what does the roll involve??
Much appreciated

Or roll in dry verm right after the dunk... the moisture on the cake will make the verm stick to its sides.

Dunk and roll... great name... it tells you what it is... and how to do it.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Thank ya'll a lot.

Now that I know what Rolling involves, what's the purpose in it?? I've heard of cutting the dry verm layer off your freshly birthed cakes and dipping the top and bottom of the cake in dry verm..... but fully rolling them in verm is lost on me. Dunking has always worked great for me though. Thanks for the link to your Amazon. grow MycoCat. Were you satisfied with the flushes and potency of those Amazonians?

yeh that seems to just be a myth about fruiting. My PRs fruited really really well. They just needed some good CO2 flow, and light. My only problem with PRs is that the fruits are hollow and a little wimpy.

outputrotation: I've seen many people claim full colonization of a 1/2 pt jar BRF/Verm colonizes fully in a little over two weeks. Plus Puerto Ricans are noted to be of very high potency. Any truth to any of this in your experiances??
