poor man's drying... ?

what is the most effective way to dry shrooms if you don't have any calcium carbonate or other chemicals normally suggested?

i have a fan. how long can i leave fresh shrooms out to dry under the blowing before they start to rot/go bad? i have some extra mason jars. should i put them in there after fan-drying for a few hours?

also, will a ziploc bag be sufficient for storage or should i use the mason jar instead?

also... are there any dessicants like calcium carbonate that can be bought at a grocery store or pharmacy? what are your suggestions...

I air dry for abot two days, plitting the larger stem dowm the middle. After that, I preheat an oven to 150 F, turn it off and put my shrooms in there on a newspaper. 1 -2 hours later they`re cracker dry.

i usually fan dry mine for 2 days then i preheat my oven to like 150 but i dont put them in i leave them right on the oven door and put a fan in front of them and let it blow for about 20 minutes. I dont know what everybody is talking about 2 hours and shit in the oven it takes like 20 minutes and they crack when you try to bend them.
