A theory about new music soon coming
    #3157672 - 09/20/04 10:21 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

The 60's and 70's. Arguable among many people to be home to some of the best music ever made.

Is it maybe because of the baby boom? In the 60's and 70's, the baby boomers were in their teens to late twenties. With such a large majority of the "western world" population, it would kind of explain why there was so much new talent around.

So, for those who aren't familiar with the echoes, they are the children of the baby boomers. The echoes are outnumbering any other population majority (minus the baby boomers). Soon you'll see a huge shift in marketing strategies among companies, because soon the echoes are going to be the major economy movers. (baby boomers are retiring, which is why you see so much damn life insurance commercials)

Right now, the echoes are entering prime age to begin a musical career (to whomever wishes to do so). So do you think that there is a wave of talent slowly barreling towards shore? Almost about to crash and start a music revolution?

I think both LA and New York are due to release a new movement sometime soon. And with the big hispanic populations both those cities have, I wouldn't be suprised if that's where it comes from. There's never been a big Latin music movement in the US. So it could be due.

Latin music sucks.
