can someone tell me a little about halucinogens like datura and salvia, ect? their doesn't seem to be as much info on them as their is on stuff like shrooms and cid, and I just want some strait facts so that if I run across any (the stuff is unheard of around here) I can make an informed decision

have you visited general entheogen websites like erowid & lycaeum? and there are a few datura-specific websites and several salvia sites... even a search here at other drugs forum will prolly get you tripstories, suggestions, warnings, and links...

I've never done datura but I have done salvia. It's weird. I wouldn't use it as a party drug. It doesn't allways get me high but when it does it's usually pretty intense. The body buzz makes you feel kind of like you're leaning, it's hard to explain. Everytime I trip on it, it allways makes me feel stupid, not in the "I've been huffing all day" kind of stupid but it basically makes me see the stupidity in things I'm doing. It's not very fun, I'ld only use it for specific purposes, have a goal when you smoke it, besides just getting high. It's definately not one of my favorite drugs, but it is interesting as another psychedelic experience to try.

Thanks alot man, thats exactly what I needed to know. I personnally don't beleive in doing shit like that as a party kind of thing, except maybe pot. but anything I do, I preffer to think of it as a learning experience, instead of just getting fucked up. I might consider giving it a try.

I wouldn't try datura, though. I hear it's really fucked up. It's a disassociative, which makes you pretty insane (but not in a fun, shroomy kind of way). I've never done it, but after reading a few trip reports (look at lycaeum or erowid for the reports) I'm confident I won't.

dude don't go off and try salvia after reading that VERY brief description of it's effects! Please read much much more before you decide to try it.
