sound and shrooms

i was just sitting here thinking about shrooms and a question popped in to my mind:
do sound waves effect fungus when its growing? if you're to put a cake of mycelium in a speaker box, whould the sound have any effects on the mushrooms? has anyone ever done it?

maybe i ask to many question......

we put are (1st atempt) jars in an empty speaker one time. the light we had in there made it too hot and all the mycelium died. i dont see why sound wave would do anything.

my fire monkey keeps a couple of his rubbermaid bins in a cabinet underneath his front speakers. he likes to watch the mushies "dance" when the bass is turned up. (*note* everything in the room is "dancing" when the bass is turned up)
