Libertarian Party in other countries?
    #3155138 - 09/20/04 11:56 AM (13 years, 8 months ago)

I was just wondering if other countries have a libertarian party, or equivalent thereof. It seems silly to me that only Americans would follow such principles, when those principles originated from Europe.

Other countries do have 'libertarian' parties, though they may go by other names. Here's a link to Libertarian International, my wife's uncle is the president (he's a Dutch citizen) - check the links page.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.
