Is there a difference...
    #3154854 - 09/20/04 12:40 AM (20 years, 3 months ago)

between straw and hay? The word hay finds nothing when I search. The reason I ask is that hay is abundant and free to afoaf whereas straw is expensive and difficult to obtain.

The way i understand it,hay is all parts of the plants. Leaves, flowering tops and seeds etc. Where as straw is just the stems.
