Nice wet September but very warm here too (for the time of year Dontcha know). Plenty of activity but no psilocybes. Is there a specific temperature "trigger" below witch the libs will fruit. Anyone?

Yeah, I suspect the right time is about when the fly agarics start popping up. Anyway, I'm trying to find out as much as possible about liberty-cap-time tell-tale-signs as well, so if anyone thinks of anything... I'm particularly interested in species that fruit at about the same time and in the same habitat as liberty caps do.

I found the first liberty caps here in scotland after some colder weather during the later part of July, but after that I couldn't find any more for a good few weeks, Strangly I've found them growing earlier on the lowlands than in the hills here where I usually don't find them until now through late oct on higher ground. Though this has only been my experience in the last couple of years and the weather has been a bit odd.
I usually find them after the first cold rain, when the sun has come out, maybe from early morning and dried things up by the afternoon, there are usually some popped up at my usual spots and a good few more in the first few days after that all important rain.

Well the amanitas and some edibles have been out for a while now but no libs, it just feels too warm (I'm in Hampshire though so warm means warm ).

Silver Wolf, people from England, Ireland, as well as Scotland, have been posting liberty cap pictures here at the shroomery for almost three to four weeks now.
mj,
They are up in the UK.
You just got to get off your bottom and go look until you find some.
That is if liberty caps are what you are looking for.
Normally you post about Amanita?
