newbie petri dishes, ok?
    #3151915 - 09/18/04 09:16 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

Hi everyone,
I have remained quiet in here I thought I better have a go and come back if I had any questions.
The two images are of what I think is pleurotus pulmonarius - (phoenix oyster) growing on a standard MYA mixture. I got the mushroom flesh from a food market selling "oyster mushrooms" the mycelium growing on my plates don't look anywhere near as rich and strong as the GG&MM- page 316.

I was just wondering if you thought I could now transfer to grain or if I should leave the plates to thicken up -? they have been incubated at about 24/25 degrees C for the last 2 weeks.

any comments/ criticism is very welcome

cheers
Jim
*- sorry about the bad photos.!

They wont thicken up, I would transfer them to grain, they look good, how long did it take to colonize that far?
