Perlite setup

I've searched every garden/hardware store in town and the only perlite I could find was the Miracle grow perlite. http://www.lowes.com/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=156581-446-74278300
On the bag I noticed that it says miracle grow enhanced. I'm not sure if thats a good or bad thing but sounds bad to me. Also, the granuals seem to be very small and there is a lot of dust at the bottom of the bag.
My question is this. Can I use this perlite or is there a different kind I should try and find? I seen a tek of a terrarium and inside they looked more like red Coco Puffs.
Any info would help.

I don't think you're talking about perlite when you are talking about the red coco puffs.
You can search for hydroton/lava rocks/expanded clay/geolite (many names) if you are prepared to use an air bubbler (ie, an aquarium air pump) in your setup. This may help anyway since it will pump in fresh air decreasing the need to fan.

Awesome, ty for your replies. I went back to the page I found that tek on and it was infact Hydroton. I was told about a little hole in the wall hydroponics store about 45min from my house. So I figured what the hell after work ill head down there. Sure enough first thing I seen as I walked through the door was Hydroton. Picked me up a bag for 9 bucks.
Im stoked now and ready to rock. Ty again for the info about the mirical grow.
