i'm trying a new way to supply humididty without spraying or using a humidifier. it also supplies warmth. i looked in the teks and did not see this application. the growth chamber is a rubbermaid container. take a glass vase, fill with water and peroxide. stick an aquarium heater in it, and rig so that it does not touch the sides. toss it in the rubbermaid, plug it in, set it to low and there you go. it seems, after a 24 hr. observation period that the temp. remains a constant 86 degrees throught the container. the humidity, though i do not have a hygrometer, i could tell is around 90-95%. the walls of the container are moist, and every once in a while there is a trickle going down the sides. to regulate the humdity even more, a piece of aluminum foil could be placed loosely over the heated vase to catch and condense the airborne h20. i'm about to toss some casings in there and would like some feedback, perhaps another's take and concern on this endeavor. thanks.

ummm... you don't want it to be 86f in a fruiting chamber.

Very true, wrong temp. It would make a nice overly humid incubator though. Still sort of too hot for that too, though.
