cake question

i was sold on the casings yet i put a 1/2 cake in the pmp. I was going to add it to another casing when i noticed a small ball of myc on top. should i disturb it?

It wont be detrimental to break up the cake at this point. Its kinda up to you, if you haven't fruited a cake yet id say leave it as is. Otherwise id still case it.

It could be hyphal knot, it probably is one actually. Thats incdicating that its about to start pinning. So if your going to case do it now before pins form. If they do start before you get around to casing it just let it fruit as a cake.

Just leave that 1/2 pint in there, case some other jars. Always good to have insurance and assumably you are on your first grow yes? Plus it sounds like its about to fruit.
