Incubation Question
    #3150374 - 09/17/04 11:01 PM (20 years, 4 months ago)

My room is around 75F. I have this step-stool in my room that doubles as a toolbox, and it's completely dark. It's a fairly large space and should fit my 10 jars nicely. I'm worried, however, that I still might be a few degrees shy of 86F. Any quick fixes? Should I cover the jars with a towel or pack a towel or two inside the toolbox, etc?

I wouldnt worry about it much.. if you can keep it away from a direct source of
cold air (near heat is fine) place it on a shelf in your closet or something
you should have no problems with incubation... you may also want to try
placing it on or near your water heater during incubation, that will also help

Remember your jars actual substrate temp will be approximately 2 degrees higher than the ambient air temp if that helps you ease your mind
