25% casing colonized question

There was myc. standing straight up out of the casing - looking strong. I put it in the refrigerator. It was 25% colonized.... Is this good? I am planning on taking it out of the refrigerator after a total of 8-10 hours and putting it in my grow chamber. Does anyone confirm this as ok?

you dont need to cold shock it... you just need to drop the temps a little for fruiting... around 70F is suitable

Yes IF the growth is coming through evenly enough then yes get that sucker in the fruiting chamber ASAP and you'll be looking at pins where others will still be knotting and you'll have knotting to worry about except keeping them happy! Many times people wait to long to initiate pinning not realizing there is a transitional period between vegetative growth and generative growth. Optimally this timing will put myc in all the valleys bye the time this switch is complete resulting in pinning sooner with less "overlay" type conditions, both of which in my book are good. GL

understood. Now before i read completely i sprang up put it in the chamber with a bottle of frozen water to drop the temps in there 10degrees...It always does. It lays now side by side next to my First casing which is fruiting...i have a few onescoming up. One monster from the side. Will this temp drop hinder the growth of the other since temps were 79 degrees? Also then not too humid? Last time i did this with high humidity, it flattened the myc. that was sticking up....This Is perhaps the Greater of the 2 questions/.. Thanks for the lightning fast replies guys.

High RH wont flatten the myc thats from spraying most likely High RH causes myc to grow on caps even they just love it but so do pathogens The drop in temps will slow growth slightly thats all no biggie GL and have fun!
