High Intensity Workout High!
    #3150276 - 09/18/04 12:25 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

Didn't know where to put this, I know in Off Topic I will get a bunch of silly shit.

--

I have been working out for a while but stopped for 2 weeks, 2 days ago I got back into it and I worked out pretty hard for almost an hour.

After working out I was feeling so different, so much better, like I took a solid MDMA tab or a nice rail, I just felt perfect, I told my girlfriend and she says high intensity exercise releases endorphins in the brain.

So obviously I came here to ask, is this true?

I was wondering about this too. I think I read a post a little bit ago where someone said that exercising releases dopamine.

Yes this is true...

This is also why im somewhat addicted to working out, if i dont do it for a couple weeks i get all moody and shit. Fuck if i stopped cold turkey and just layed around all day id probably get withdrawls.

this is what i've mentioned to people acting all depressed and shit. like in the new physical and mental health forum which used to be the support forum...i bet very few of the ones complaining in there exercise.

after i workout i feel all happy and good. i think you're girlfriend is right. i've heard of some joggers mentioning they're addicted to it.

its a natural defense to getting fat. same way with eating. it releases chemicals that fell good so you want to do it again.

I dont know about that, I heard it has to do with the quick flow of blood through your body and that triggers something.

Working out, reading, and talking are the 3 ways to live a happy life i say.

It means health, intelligence, and comminication of your views.

Cant ask for more than that!

Hey Chronic I agree with ya 110% man I read a lot and work out like crazy, and of course im talking everywhere I go.
