Fridays Mushrooms in Seattle
    #3149714 - 09/18/04 04:19 AM (18 years, 2 months ago)

Well the garden near my home was recently torn up by landscapers, I guess they will plant some new bushes or ivy or something. They really tore it up. However, as i walked through it i photographed these four Coprinus muhsrooms

A close up:

A colony of Psathyrella's waiting patiently for a slug to come along and have some:

And then I saw these guys. Not sure of their ID. A cop car had pulled alongside of me to check out two homeless people crashed on a bench.

And then the rain came so I oput my camera away.

Thanks everyone. The Coprinus were really beautiful in person. Wish I could have gotten ion a little bit closer. The ground was smelly form where homeless people take a piss.

So I could smell the urine siomewhere near me. Just did not want to lie down whereever it was. SO I still had to hug the earth. Luckilly I washed my coat today.

mj

Have a shroomy day

That is also a very noticible odor when walking downtown on Pike street between first and third avenue in every doorway and alley along Pike street and up and down first and second avenue. I was downtown a few days ago and it smelled like piss.

This is commonin most downtowns in major cities in America.

Yeah Ive found several of the species posted as well.  My yard is full of about 6 different kinds of mushrooms right now.  Has anyone found anything active yet?  Can't decide if I want to trudge around in the rain and come up empty handed.

Nope, as I noted above it is kinda a park for homeless people to lie around in the bushes. It was two thirds dug up./ It is a block and a half form my house and never has any magic shrooms in it. I gopt opff the bnus a block early one day and walked through it.

It had similar shrooms about a month ago.

But the cops also drove their car on the trail and were checking out some homeless peoples ID's when I came through the area. One cop was in plain clothes and the driver wwore a ubniform. I had to pass them since I was heading intheir direction.

have a shroomy day to all

mj

My cyans and everyone elses come up around the mid of October if the weather starts to get colder soon. About four weeks from now will be perfect.

mj

In the meantime whatever grows grows.

mostly lawn baeos, lawn blue ringers and some liberty caps in Oregon coastal regions and from Portland to B.C. they start popping up in these rains and the ones to come.

my neighbors have a little fairy ring of
Chlorophyllum molybdites, the green gill mushroom
growing in their lawn,

and the other day i was driving home and saw a doggie
walk straight into the middle of the ring of shrooms
and take a big ol' dump,

i said "'awww maannn"
