how long to grow?

How long does it take from start to finish to grow mushies? Starting from when the jars are first innoculated?

Depending on many factors, one to two and a half months.

Patience is key.

I would agree and say on average when starting from inoculation it will take around the 1 3/4 - 2 months.

I have a question that relates to this. I just cased with sphagum peat and verm with gypsum and lime. How long do you think it will be untill the mycelia has colonized the casing and begins pinning?

Ahhahaha it depends on if your substrate was completely colonized, temps, RH, all the other growing factors, what you're using for a substrate, etc.

I'm not the best source of information, but I'd say 5 to 7 days.  See if anyone else posts on this for confirmation though.

Rye grain for substrate, completely colonized. 2 cakes in trays. RH is 92%, temp. is 74.5 with a bubbler for fresh air exchange.
