Darker caps on dung?

Did anyones FOAF ever notice the caps on dung-shroom cubie primordia being darker than the same strain fruiting from a grain-only substrate?

It was seeing the pics of the DB kit that sort of made me suspicious of the dung. HolyDiver's shrooms had chocolate brown caps. Those things were pretty damn sweet.

The DB kit must stay pretty humid inside. I read that regular misting isn't even necessary.

i have found that my cat has light caps on cakes, slightly darker when the cakes are cased (BRF cakes) and the darkest on rye grain (i have not seen my cat use dung or stray or castings).
