i think that most people think that you cant do it with no PC so i just say the opposite

I think the appropriate conclusion is that it MAY work... infrequently. If you want to improve your odds and save a lot of your time and energy, you PC and things are MORE likely to work. Take your pick.

Congrats on the jars.

Do you think that you were lucky, with the jars not contaminating?
Or do you think that PCing rye grain is not always necessary?

Peace to the man from Greece.

Shake the jars one more time if they recover just fine then you'll know for sure  You also have to take into account the grains spore count as I've seen some dirtyass rye. Nice to hear theres still hope for the peeps who can't afford a PC!

i've shaken them 3-4 times till they got 100% colonised and they recoverd just fine!
Well i didnt put and H2o2 or anything special. I just put the rye in a pot and boiled it. then i strained it for 30 minutes and then i put it in the jars. their lid has 2 holes for the spore syringe and it's covered with polyfil. I then boil the jars and next day i innoculated.
both jars were perfectly colonised...
