*scary campfire voice* Alien substrate... question

So, I'm going to try out this "alien substrate" from the Substrate Teks. It calls for a few things I'm unable to locate. I guess I'm just asking for some direction as to what type of store I need to be going to in order to find these.
1) Finch Seed 2) Flax Seed
In the tek the author mentions where to get everything else, but then forgets these and puts a different message at the end of them in the list.

3/4 cup of quinoa (health food store) 3/4 cup long grain brown rice (grocery store) 3 cups spring water 1 1/2 cups vermiculite (Wal-Mart) 1/4 cup finch seed (measured before grinding) 1/8 cup flax seed (measured before grinding)
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Silven

finch seed is birdseed that is given to finches. ask in a pet shop - i think it's mostly millet and maybe some hemp?
flax seed is also known in UK as linseed. tiny little itty bitty things, orange or dark brown, look a bit like sesame seeds.

sounds interesting, try post some pics when you;ve made the jars so we can see if they are really alien cakes, or just lame brf cakes with weird seeds in them.

Ok, I think I can get flax seed in a health store, and (tada) we happen to have one not far from my home.
Anyway, I'm sure it's going to look like a lame BRF cake with weird seeds in it. I'm just hoping the seeds will add more nutrients, along with the whole brown rice and quinoa.

I have found flax seed at my local feed store (I live in a rural area) and also in health food stores or health food sections of stores.
