My band has some new stuff to download (one demo song and one jam) and i was wondering if i could get some honest thoughts and opinions on the music we've got up right now. So if you could take a few minutes and give stuff a listen i'd really appreciate it. http://www.eclipsismusic.com/downloads.html For those wondering our style is primarily trippy funk, although the demo song is mainly just a rock song. I'd suggest starting with the jam "funk butter" because it's a better indication of our over all style plus it's alot trippier imo. thanks!

cool thanks.
The two different songs are two drastically different styles btw. the demo song is sort of a bouncy happy go lucky rock song while the other is a pyscadelic disonant funk jam we recorded one night at practice. I would recomend people download the jam (funk butter we call it) first because it's a better indication of our over all style. I actually favor some of our improv stuff over our "songs" cuz they tend to be alot funkier and trippier.

listened to the demo song. not my style either but it's a good song. reminded me a little of phish (haven't listened much to phish so I could be wrong). drums sound a little thin, but I guess that's because it's not a professional recording? Keep making those songs, good stuff

thank you guys for taking the time to listen to our stuff and thanks for the positive feedback
stefan: the songs are all home recordings and the reason the drums sound thin is cuz we don't have enough inputs on our mixer to mic the drums properly. We have to just place a few mics in various places and mix them onto one track, which kind of sucks, but we're planning on getting another mixer so we have plenty of inputs for everything. Also the room we play in is very small, so that creates sound issues as well, but we're working them out

I'm listening to funk butter, I rather like it. Man I wish I had the time/money/equipment to output my creativity into music.
