I heard life is actually kinda shady.  Word on the street is that it eventually leaves you.  Keep it real, yo!  Peace...

I think I see what you're saying here - it's like so many times people are so quick on the defense that they miss something that could potentially turn into an incredible learning experience for em...but by believing that anyone out there *could* (potentially anyway) have something to share with you (regardless if they realize they're helping your spiritual progress or not) you *could* (theoretically) gain a little somethin from every situation you happen to come across

the trick is to protect your ass while you're being so damn accepting of everything you come across

I was just discussing this with someone today.  In my profession, most people are scumbags looking to make a buck and fuck the other guy.

I have been dealing with this idiocy for 5 years now.  In the beginning, I quit working with whomever it was that behaved badly.

Then I took on as a client a bail bondsmen who did a lot of business in SoCal.  He told me, after a discussion on why did he continue to employ someone who was a rip-off artist, that everyone is bad to some degree, in some area of their life.

Rather than keep firing and hiring people, he would keep the person, but put them in an area where that person couldn't practice his deceitful craft.

What he was doing was trusting the person in an area where the person couldn't fuck him over.  If the guy was a thief, he would put the guy in an area of his business where the guy could do a job, but not be able to steal, see?

So I have been learning to employ that tactic lately.  I work with a lot of different people.  Most of them are out to make a buck, even if they have to lie, cheat or steal.

I don't have to quit working with these schmucks, though, just because they cross my grain.  All I have to do is brand my fucking cattle.

Stupid fuckers.

The day will come when, after harnessing the ether, the winds, the tides, gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And, on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.  -Teilard

wouldn't it be funny if there was a person who trusted his cattle and branded people? He'd be the laughing stock of his stock.

I see people like this, since you've personally never experienced all moments in another persons life, then who are you to judge them in the first place?, they never experienced your life, so why would they judge you? obviously the same reason you judge them......But what if you only show then your positive side and, i guess blindly understand their negative, then their positive side eventually shows up, ofcourse you can disagree with them on certain things, but keep in mind, maybe thats all they know.
