pinning too soon?

hey, i was looking at my PF jars yesterday, and i noticed that there was a little pinning on one of my half colonized cakes.... is this normal? or should i birth the cake early?.................

It`s not normal, but not unheard of. I say let the cake fully colonize before birthing. You may have to pick fruit in the meanwhile. I should be so lucky.

sorry, i cant get a pic.....no digi-cam. i mean, the pins are extreamely small. barely big enough to see with a the naked eye. is this bad thing?

not really a bad thing, but maintenance-wise it'll be a pain in the ass...just don't let them rot.

Well, i cant tell if they are rotting, due to the fact that i can barely see them. and how would i get them out if i needed to?
