alright went on a 4 hour hunt today and was rather discouraged it had rained last night but i didn't see much of anything really when i got back i went to check some usual spots i check around my property and i found a great deal of mushrooms i've never seen growing in the wild before... i think they might be gyms
a. Habitat - growing all around stumps and dead trees b. Characteristics of the gills - almost white, showed orange/yellow color with maturity of mushroom c. Measurements of cap and stem. - large caps, thick stems d. Characteristics of the stem - mostly solid, remnants of a veil, dark coloration along the bottom on almost all of them e. Characteristics of the cap - smooth, older specimens wavy, younger ones more rounded, color varied quite a bit from white to yellow to orange in blotches f. Spore print color - let ya know in a few hours, just picked em g. Color that the mushroom bruises - nothing noticed h. Scent of mushroom - not as fruity as i hoped
