Shrooms drying different as flush continues...
    #3140905 - 09/15/04 08:19 PM (20 years, 4 months ago)

My shrooms seem to be changing shape(when dried) as the cake lives longer. They become shriveled and not as firm as the first ones. Is this normal or maybe a sign of contamination?

Any input would help.

Normal. Just thinner shrooms tend to curl more. Are you dunking between flushes? You might be getting thinner shrooms if they can't get enough water.

I said I. What I meant was my snake. He dunks them for 24 hours in the fridge. Do you think it may be his chamber? PMP style?

PMP is a good setup..sorry I'm not a huge expert on cakes, havnt done them before..I just dry alot of shrooms and thinner ones tend to curl up and look less like they did when fresh but its normal so I thought I'd tell ya they are ok. Are your flushes about the same after the first? If so then I wouldnt worry..

Yeah They are the same. Some growing better/bigger mush. He said the knows bigger is not better. But you know. So ok. Don't know why it does that.
