moisture inside jars??

I have moisture on the inside of jars that are about 40% colonized. Not too much but beads of water on the glass where colonizing is taking place. Is this OK. Or are they loosing water? The mycel. look really healthy so far.

It`s not really a good sign. What are your incubation parameters? Temperature? Humidity? It`s been my experience that condensation is a sign of drying. That is to say, the condensation is evaporated as opposed to being reabsorbed by the cake. In short, warm temps in a dry environment will dry out your jars.

if it's fairly noticible flip your cakes over and the wicking effect of the water will drip it down into the top verm layer... i've seen cakes with CRAZY moisture in them cured by flipping the jars upside down... you can tap the sides, rotate the jar, whatever- to help the water along down the side of the jar... peace and good luck

should i leave them upside down for a day or a couple of days? They are at room temp about 80-82 (we have the air on) and yes it is very dry here. I put some jars in my terriaum and i left the others in the box. The jars in the box are 1 week older than the ones I put in the terriaum.

Puscle, I don't know if you saw my last post about failing at my first try of casing but I wanted to thank you for all of your help with that. I will try again and prevail :)
