coco coir/verm shelf life

well I ended up making WAY more 50/50 coir/verm than I can use at once. if I put this stuff in jars how long will it be good? of course I will PC the jar for an hour before actually using it..

I bet if you PC it for an hour before you use it you won't have any problems.

that is what I figured, I just didn't want to have a bunch of mold grow in the jars while they're not being used then case with dead sterile mold.

Well then check it before you PC it. Coco coir and verm aren't very nutritious, hence their use as a casing layer, so I wouldn't be overly worried about growing mold on them... but it is possible, I supposed.

i would pc it before you store it too that way if any mould spores get in they'll be killed prior to storage therefor never allowing them to germinate and then you won't have to worry about it.
pc before use aswell... no problems :laugh:
