Oregon chantrelles, also need ID...

Went hunting along the Oregon coast and found alot of chantrelles. Also found what I hope to be maitake.

Made a really nice dinner with fresh slices of brie,
homegrown pear and cherry tomatoes, and basil. Made a
great pasta sauce with garden fresh tomatoes, eggplant, white onion, garlic, basil, rosemary, and olive oil over penne pasta. With some
oven roasted walla onions, garlic, carrots, and
rosemarry. And of course chantrelles sauteed in garlic
butter. All complimented by a nice bottle of BV cab. Honestly one of the best meals I have ever had.

Are the other mushrooms maitake? They have a sponge like underside kinda like boletes that is white.

Try scratching the pore surface with a fingernail to see if it changes color. The specific color you're watching for is black.

where about on the oregon coast did you find these? i live in ****, which is on the south coast a couple hours away from cali.. been looking around but haven't seen much yet. hopefully the cyans will start coming up when it gets colder, it's been raining like hell.
