my gnomes trying to grow ps cyans and ps azures.
he previously did a carboard tek with ps subae and that worked a treat (colonizing as we speak) but he used the part of the stem which is submerged and they have myc on them. I want to know if i cut agar wedges and put it under some soaked carboard will it colonize like the stem butts?

he would use grain but he dont have a pc, because his a cheap-ass, lol.

Oh yeah while im here at my post, when the gnome transports the coloniozed cardboard to patch location should i get the black plastic material to retain moisture or just water once or twice every week.

OT: cool avatar prisoner

thanks all for the replies.

it should, it should actualy do better as long as you are using clean
methods to prevent contams on the uncolonized portions of the agar...

cheap assed gnomes.... a pc has become one of the most indispensible tools
for the cultivator. search fractional sterilization for the grains
here is the FAQs info but there is much more here on the message board http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/23307

I would try and find a nice shady place (woods or under some bushes) and cover the mycelium with leaves, water it a couple times a week (less if rain is expected) and avoid the black plastic... I use is to kill weed seeds in my garden... it may get a little too hot under there
