On a lighter note if you are putting 2 species of cubensis in 1 jar it will work fine I do it all the time and call it surprise
but this does belong in cultivation not advanced cultivation

behind every great fortune there is an even greater crime

You can mix different strains of the same species of mushroom and it should grow fine, like if you put 1/2 P.C. ecuador and 1/2 P.C. amazonian it'd grow some form of p. cubensis. I'm not 100% sure on this one but it should work being as its the same species (like 95% sure). I think BrownPasture thaught you where talking about different species of mushies when you said strains and not just different strains of the same species. And this really shouldn't have been in the advanced cultivation forum ; )

this question shouldn't be in advanced, and neither should the replies.

I agree w/ dark_savior.. As long as they're from the same species, two strains could be germed together.

I disagree that the question was stupid and/or inappropriate for the forum. Not my prob, though. That's why we have moderators.

i had some pan trops cased. and some cubensis showed up...
i think my casing stopped being productive as flushes were minimal and in all honesty, pathetic...
(also other variables into play as at this time i had troubles with my equipment)... but still other trays developed nice...

oOo

OK,OK It sopuldnt be in this forum,ut to me It souned like an advanced question.I figured this was something people didnt normally do.If I had put it in cultivation people would have een yelling hat it belonged here. Its all about perspective and how each person sees things

the only way this would really "work"... would be like what Ryche did... (i think) he had a pic posted of PAN TROPS growning with B+....ok i dont know how much of the part about colonizing *1* jar with 2 different strains (yea i know CUBIE strains) working... i personaly think it doesn't work like you might think ....(Hawaiians/whatever else)grows out with one strain next to the other... but what Ryche did was actualy obvious that there were 2 different kinds of shrooms were growing next to each other (me tinks it's cause the b+ loves dung and stuff especialy).... well i dont know where i'm going with this anymore .. but there's my 2cents ... peace
