strangely enough.... im not to sure about this question.

many thoughts seem to occur "at random" and some you can map out at figure why you might have thought something... i think (;)) a thought is a mental response to an experience, that you create so you can file away for later use/contemplation of the experience.

perhaps?

good question blueorb.

It's a cognitive interpretation of an event- real or imaginary, an emotion or another thought which aloows for realisation and understanding IMHO.

What were you thinking that made you ask?

Where do our thoughts come from? and then what is a feeling?
Do feelings generate thoughts, or thoughts generate feelings? What is an emotion? Thought or feeling?

As far as I can tell thoughts are little electrical sensations that somehow represent images or ideas. I can feel them sometimes, like a little buzzing in my head. The more busy my brain is the more I feel tension and that vibrating feeling, but when I meditate it gets very relaxed.

Becaues thoughts represent other things we usually get caught up in the symbols and fail to realize that the thought itself is the same as any other sensory experience and electrical vibration.

i believe our thoughts come from God/Universe.

i believe we are God, little "calcified" shards of God given the task of experiencing God. you cannot experience oneself, without a relative viewer, so we are the relative viewers for God/Universe, searching for, mimicing, questioning, believing in all the novelties we have to offer.

feelings: something we automatically except as true (at first). "i feel this" means "this is my truth".

feelings generate thoughts, since thoughts are just "cognative interpretations of an event" such as a feeling.

emotions are "actions and reactions" based upon feelings.

you act because you feel, you react because thats how youve seen people act and perhaps thats how youve acted in the past.

Jiggy, I was asked this question some time ago and haven't been able to come up with a reasonable response yet....Just interested in others views....Perhaps it boils down to "Feed and response" we all generate each others thoughts which produce E-motion and feeligs which in turn generate more thoughts....interesting.....

i don't think that, i just posted a random thought about thoughts, i don't belive it nor do i say it is the way it is and should be, merely a suggestion from thin air could have said it was not a lie but i did not (maby because of the kronology aka, time?) :P to say it more concrete!

why did you post" Why didn't you just post on why you think thoughts are lies?"

and may it be of the same reason? maybe out of curiosity of the reply one might get? i really dont know

but if you know why you are asking, i already could say it might be the wery same motives ;P

A thought is a deliverance from the universal mind which we choose.
The brain does not generate thought, the mind generates thought.
It is not a body part but a connection to the universal mind. You cannot see this connection for the energy vibration is to slight to sense. The universal mind is connected to all humans. Every thought has been thought at the universal mind, and of course there is a + and a - side.
Thought are a product of the mind.
Emotions are a product of the soul.
And of course there is the great soul a entity which generates life in all suitable containments for the soul. The great soul extends forever all, engulfs all in its path. All the great soul where there appears to be nothing is pure consciousness.

Thoughts arent lies, but they are a mere product of us, a lesser piece of us, but they are our beleifs which weave into our reality in this physical 3 fold dimesion.

This may confuse you more but its just what i beleive. No one can for sure tell you where thought/feelings are and where they come from, but what ever you beleive will become true to you.

I like this answer best. Thoughts are merely verbal interpretations of the real world.
