I usually don't mind them at all. Not something I really think about. If some people don't like them I would just chase them with a drink or eat them in a sandwich.

the first time i had them i had 2g in a half of a tunafish sandwich, and i couldnt taste them at all
the second time i had 2.5 in a half and the taste WRECKED me. I almost couldnt get half a sandwich down because of the god awful mushroom taste to it
Now i just crush them up and deal with it

I don't like the taste but I don't mind it. I mean, I can eat them with no gagging or "ewww"ing.

I had a similar body-gag reflex thing happen with white wine.
I tried a HBWR expirment in soaking them in white wine for 24 hours before eating them.
I tripped rather hard, but also made me VERY sick for the first few hours. For a month or two after, I had a very hard time drinking white wine.

Maybe the certain type of mushrooms I've had just always tasted great. I really can't compare them with stale popcorn, I'd say the texture is similar but the actual taste is extemely unique. It seems to be part of the whole mushroom experience, because for me at least, it has a psychedelic "hint" to the flavor, and it's damn good.

Its not the taste that gets my neighbors dog but the texture. Fresh are better than dry in the dogs oppinion. The dog has never had a problem chomping some down though.

I personally find shrooms revolting! The taste is better when fresh, but still foul. The texture is disgusting when fresh though, it's a lose/lose for me 
I only ever take my shrooms in tea to avoid body load. I have eaten a few caps on a night out, but it wasn't pleasant. FWIW, i've found Coke is an excellent chaser.
I'm gonna start working on an extraction technique as soon as I have fresh material. Nothing fancy, just something to cut down the amount of stuff I have to swallow!

For me, personsally, I find that the more I am in harmony with the mushroom and the better I prepared for the session, the better/less offensive mushrooms taste.
I have grown to like stems that are fleshy and just a bit moist so you have to chew them like peanuts.
Liberty caps are a delicacy!

I really agree with this.
Personally i consider the mushroom trip much more than a trip/drug state.
Harmony really plays a role in my experiences and now that i think about it, flavor is like an indicator. I preffer them fresh and i like to add some salt and lemon juice :P

I like them if they are dry. I have never had them fresh, but they taste like oats or something when dried. I don't like the texture of fresh mushrooms, so I eat mine dry with a glass of orange juice. It doesn't bother me at all, but I also know that I am not eating a crop that grew on a pile of shit.

When I first did shrooms I thought they tasted great, but then my body started to relieze that I was suffering from food poisioning. Now they taste bad to me. But I still love it.

i have never had a problem with eating mushroom. they dont taste great and i wouldnt have made it a ice cream flavour but its not bac either.

~my other friend will take the entire eighth and cram his mouth fucking full and chew it up into what he calls a soup and just lets it sit in his mouth for like 5-10 minutes. I'm like man u still ain't swallowed that shit yet? he shows me and his teeth are stained blue(no shit)
This reminds me Of this one time i bought a 1\4 of mushrooms and the dealer did not have a bag so i just through them in my mouth and chewed until they were indeed "soupy" then i sucked all the moisture out until its almost dry then started chewing again, this meant i had to brush my teeth when i was tripping hard but it was worth it.
