Almost ready to be birthed???

Hey all, as this is my foaf's first grow, he isn't all too sure when "100%" colonization really is. So here are some pics of his grow, in the hopes that you could help him figure out how much more time he has til birthing!
And here's a closeup of one of their bottoms:
It seems like the myc has spread everywhere and it's getting really thick now... It's only day 10 though. So how much longer do you all think they have to go? Thanks!

Depending on how you innoculated them 100% colonization usually occurs a few days after the outside is fully colonized. It all depends on whether we're talking G2G or multispore and if multispore was it innoculated in the center or was it the PF style 4 hole with injection being between the glass and the substrate. As you see this can be a loaded question! GL

Well, I innoculated them with a plain spore syringe into 4 different holes shooting it against the glass. I also shook them up when it was colonized about 20%. When I shook them, it looked like there was nothing in them at all anymore, but the next few days it grew back to more than it was before. So that might have spread them out a little more too...
Since they are almost done, should I give them a good shake again and wait a few days until they recover? Or is that just bad news?
Thanks for the help

No need to shake again, this will just set you back. If you suspect contams another shake will show up any contamed jars but yours look just fine, I'd give them a few more days and you'll be fine. Again GL ksizzle

I'd consider those to be near 90% done. Generally I consider fully covered outside to be about 95%, then two or three days or so (depending on the overall apparent speed colonization had been moving at) after that is 100% and birthing time.
Most say 100% is based on complete outside coverage of visible parts, and then say do three days or so wait after that before birthing 'just to be sure'. I think it may help to use my scale of percentages since it reduces the impulse to skip the important 'extra' couple days, and makes it seem less like it's taking forever.

It's probably fine to birth now. I always let them go another day or two. It's not really very important if there are a few uncolonized grains in it as long as you are fairly sterile. Some people even mix in 50% uncolonized grain when they case. I don't favor that method because it can delay pins for a bit, but it stretches your spawn further.

do a g2g on one of those jars. preferebly the fastest or more colonized one. i guarentee you will triple what you have. do ten to one. in a cardboard box tape plastic to the insides and outsides of the box. drinkin glass full hydrogen peroxide, spoon.spray bottle 10% bleach 90% water. spray the box with the jars in it unopened. two spoon fulls per jar dip spoon in peroxide every change of jar. ware gloves, masks , very clean room, lysol in the air.
didn't mean to over do it just felt like writing.
oh and don't forget to shake and incubate.
