this is whats so sick about the situation. THeir are dozens of genocides going on in the world today, and we have the worlds largest military by far. And yet never do we take action in any of those situations, in distant poverty stricken countries. (let alone give them media coverage)

And yet when theirs oil to be secured its all cries of 'for god democracy and human rights!' than we go blow up the infrastructure of the third world country, kill thousands of civilians, take over the oil and leave them to fuckin take care of themselves.

If the US put even a fraction of its military towards stopping genocides they could do alot of good. But if their aint money in it, we aint interested.

Not to mention theres at least a handfull of genocides for which the U.S and its economic interests have been directly responsible, or at least heavily involved.

WAR! huh, what is good for!
making lots of money money
say it again

That statement makes it sound like you live in the U.S. Yet it says
you live in Canada under your avatar. ???

Bosnia. Kosovo. Haiti. Somalia. Liberia. Those are some recent ones I can think of. Not distant enough for you? Not poverty-stricken enough? Whaddya want?

The US may have the world's biggest military (doubtful -- I bet that honor goes to China), but it doesn't have the only military. Why did it take the US to intervene in the Balkan conflicts? Surely Europe had enough military might to deal with that one. Same with Somalia -- why didn't the European nations (many of whom had African colonies up until fairly recently) handle that? Haiti was a French colony for most of its wretched existence, but I didn't see France helping the Haitians get their democratically elected president (nutball that he was) returned to office.

The world criticizes the US for thinking of itself as the world's policeman, but they think of the US that way themselves -- whenever things get gnarly somewhere, it's not the UN, but the US that people start pestering to "do something".

This time the US is busy elsewhere. Time for the Euros (or China) to pitch in for a change.

I think that sometimes it might be a good idea just to lob some cruise missles into the capital during legislative sessions and take out the government leaders. We can't invade everyone, but we could assisinate some leaders. I am chomping at the bit to kill that fucker in Zimbabwe. They had a higher standard of living in the 1950s. He has turned a regional bread basket into a starving nation.

I say we start killing those fuckers with targeted attacks. Find out what location they are at and destroy it. Then tell the next fucker that if he doesn't invite the UN in for free elections we will kill him too. That way our troops never have to hit the ground. Americans are generally all for killing people if we don't have to die. Hey, might as well put it on television for the reality tv crowd.

"Making the world a better place, one body bag at a time" - The Jesus Christ Platform for President.

So now if somebody asks you "But what would Jesus do?", you can tell him that you personally hang with him online, and that Jesus would bomb the fuck out of them.

I kind of think as most of the Euorpean militaries as laughable, now not the brave men that serve in them, just the organizations themselves...
But yes, it seems that the US is the soul nation in the world that seems to want to look out for the rest of the world, while the rest of the world seems to be merely observers, but quick to criticize us...

Although I'm not sure how effective killing just the leaders would be, I'm actually all for it, hell couldn't more than what's currently going on.

Honestly, I do not know the intracacies of the situation, but I really think some air stricks against Kartoun (sp?) and against Janjaweed strongholds would be a step in the right direction.

That and some air drop aid to the refugees.
