seattle area tips please

i have just started hunting in the seattle area. Since my scope is limited because i have no car, only the bus is possible right now. Any advice on places to look would be great. I have found all sorts of shrooms so far, but no active ones. Thanks, sm
p.s. I know about the rules, so i am not asking for specific places or anything.

You get up every morning and at about 9 o'clock you go out from your house and start walking. You walk three or four hours every day until eventually you may or may not find something. This is how all of us learned of where we go to get out shrooms. mj

Yes, the great thing about Seattle is that the shrooms are right outside your doorstep. After driving all over the place, exerting tons of energy, i would find nothing Then I started just taking simple walks (or bike rides) through the neighborhood. Eventually came across a pretty sizable patch just down the street from my house!

i dont live in seattle but the first patch of actives i found were in my neighbors backyard. I looked for a good 6 months before that and never found anything till i was watching his dog for him while he was gone and noticed many patches of psilocybe stuntzii.

cyanescens. they are everywhere in seattle. just have to look. If you do a little habitat research on the species you are looking for, their locations will become more than obvious. It is definitely possible to pick pounds and pounds of them everyday of the season, weather permitting, so fear not. I wont pick them all. hehe just about every park in the area has one species or another. get a good ID book (stamets) and read it, know it, live it. to bea mushie hunter and a mushie picker are two different things, the only difference is that when you become a mushie picker, you never come home empty handed. I havent come home empty handed in a long long long time. If one known patch isnt hapening, there are always lots and lots of other places to check. And I guarantee you that the metro in seattle will take you door to door to some of the nicest cyan patches I have ever found

So can semilanceata be found outside of pastures? Like if there's lots of farms in the area but no farm has actually been on that land for about 15 years.
I would like to try and hunt the liberty caps but to avoid the whole fence-hopping aspect.

get Psilocybian Mushrooms of the World by Paul Stamets.
look in lawns, and woodchips,
dont be lazy about it, enjoy yourself whether you find a patch of shrooms or not
be persistant, and eventually your eyes will come across some shrooms.

i am sure you will find some this season if you just keep trying. Once you have found them one time it is pretty easy to keep locating them

Anyway....my problem is I go out EVERY year and I find mushrooms, stunziis,Beaos, liberty caps, A.muscaria etc, and some edibles.
But I NEVER find the one mushroom I have always longed for ever since I saw that shiny caramel cap .......Cyans

no one else here has even found pins yet, and you claim to have found some large enough to have been munched on by slugs and still be identifiable?
I happen to think you're either a)mistaken in your ID or b)full of shit
care to prove me wrong?
