I usually just mess with my dose and let the trip decide what kind of trip is wants to be.
If I take enough under certain set/setting circumstances it will be a pretty spiritual experience, but if I take a bit too little it will end up just being a fun time with minimal spiritual undertones

I've had times where I measured out the dose but was still taken by surprise. I once took 1/8th of shrooms that happened to be way more potent than I was expecting, and they shot me into a parallel universe.

right that's kind of what I mean - the set/setting can sometimes be more vital than the dose

well, ram dass has mentioned that the reasons that motivated people to meditate in the first will fade away through meditating itself, and they will feel propelled into a spiritual path. you know, so they may start off so they because they want to feel great more of the time, and even though they do just exactly that, start finding out new deeper truths. and i think the same thing happens to many people who are tripping for fun, they go through a metamorphasis, and it's no longer just about the fun. and it's not as if it's not fun anymore, it's not really a decision you make, it just becomes about a certain inavoidable Experience they feel propelled into.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.
It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.
I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too. If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.
