i really like aquarius from that album. i recommend dj Krush's "Stricktly Turntablized" (Dig this Vibe is a great song) not sure if its what youre looking for, but if you like Boards of Canada, you might like that album.

I don't really like any electronic music other than really ambient chill stuff. I don't like the "bump-bump-bump-bump" stuff.

hoooo boy. You've tapped me!
BOC is a favorite. I'd get Geogaddi too, if you're ready for it "Dig This Vibe" is also one of the best ambient downbeat songs i've ever heard.
other acts like BOC: Kruder and Dorfmeister Peace Orchestra Bola B. Fleischmann DJ Shadow DJ Krush Irresistable Force Mum Nightmares on Wax Telefon Tel Aviv Casino Vs. Japan
I guess you could put Autechre, Aphex Twin and Squarepusher in here too, since they're all Warp artists.
PM me if you need help with any of these. Some albums are better than others.

Yeh could'ant ageree more about boards of canada being a class act, Some other good electronic artists Iwould reccomend who are simliar/ in the same kind of music catergory are The foementioned aphex twin and autechre and the cds by these artists aphex twin - selected ambient works 1 and 2 . 1 is kind of acidy and more in your face than volume 2 which is very quiet minamal ambient , the only cd i can reccomend from autechre is amber as its the only cd of autechre's that iv'e listened to, its quite darker and colder sounding than boards but it's good mood music, and a good cd which excemplifies the so called IDM genre.

telafon tel aviv...
very similar to "music has the right" chill hip hop, but it has the organic scratchelies in it.
you should like it.
be sure to pick up "farenheit fair enough" the other ones are starting to pull away from the original genius (with vocal tracks and whatnot).
TTA FFE highly recommended by a man who is immersed in electronic music.

-------------------- A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

repeat: oval - "94 diskont" . .. you will not be disappointed - basically its ambient loops (no beats) combined with cd skip noises ... but much more complicated, if you listen to the first song, "do while" , it seriously sounds like you're "hearing" 4 dimensions, very enjoyable
mouse on mars - "iaora tahiti", "autoditaker", "glam" - these guys are quite similar to boc, listen to those albums in that order
mum is the word
autechre - "tri repetae ++" , "amber" , "incunabula" - get tri repetae ++ first
wagon christ - "throbbing pouch" (hahha - this cd is pretty cheeky but i still enjoy it)

Honestly, I just started getting into his other stuff (besides I Care Because You Do & Selected Ambient Works) and I've found that DrukQs is the shit.
as for BoC.. I only have Geogaddi and MHtRTC. I see vague similarities between geogaddi and some tracks from I Care Because You Do (like Alberto Balsalm, one of my fave aphex twin tracks) .
