Hello,

I haven't really posted in this forum to much but I'm taking a class in eastern religions and I have to do an essay on Zen Buddhism.

I have searched google but I can't find very much information, I was wondering if anyone here had any good links to webpages on the subject.

Thanks in advace

I don't have any saved websites, but only cos there's heaps of different buddhist related sites, depending what you want to know about it. There's heaps of books out there too!

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.---senior doobie

Screw websites, read Zen Mind Beginner's Mind by Suzuki!

some buddhist websites...
www.tricycle.com
www.buddhanet.net
(& these websites have excellent articles, texts available online, & some great links to other sites as well - ya just gotta poke around...)
& more general site: www.sacred-texts.org

books - on historical development, or on zen practice?

well, there's:
kapleau-roshi's _three pillars of zen_
& suzuki-roshi's _zen mind, beginners mind_
paul reps _zen flesh, zen bones_
& all sortsa stuff by d.t. suzuki

& plenty more books, online, at your local public library, at many decent bookstores. etc............
