A question.
    #3126858 - 09/12/04 09:15 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

My pf jars (14) are sitting in my terrarium after inoc about 36 hours ago. I saw Magash's log on his jars and I saw that he put individual pieces of tape over the holes on his lids.

I was wondering about the humidity in my jars so I pulled the foil off of one of them and I'm seeing water droplets on the lid and on the foil. In one terrarium there is a slight mist on the floor. My tape on the jar lid does not completely cover the holes because they are too close to the curve of the lid.

Should I worry about this and completely cover the top of the jar with tape or maybe something else? Or is this not really even a problem?

if you have a dry verm layer on top then its pretty much personal preference, my opinion, leave tape on for several days and then remove it for a growth spurt...

Yes I have a dry verm layer on top.

So this bit of lost humidity is not a problem?

no, since the volume of the jar is so small and it is filled with moist verm... the colonization of the jar increases heat and humidity also...
