ROFL

--------------------
"I celebrate the Earth, my home, my mother, my grave, and as long as men are Man they must, if they would preserve the integrated being, do the same---[and preserve]--this rank casual hungry smelly sweaty lusting transitory body, my oozy pulpy liquid-bag-swollen body, bones, blood, hair glands, my bejeweled sex; I love and celebrate it all.  never to let men forget that they are animals as much as gods---that is one thing I shall say."

right here your expert is disqualified... it's already been established that 5-10% of those that have HIV and consistently and correctly use a condom end up with the HIV virus...

And none of that proves that HIV has gone through the condom. It is simply a condom failure rate, which is easily explained by slippage, breakage, and alternate routes of transmission (such as scratches and cuts) that don't involve HIV passing through anything.

the rest was strictly rhetoric used in order to promote the use of condoms for safe sex,[...]

Why would they promote something that didn't work. If HIV passed through latex it would be totally ineffective in preventing transmission. In fact, the statistics indicate that a latex condom is effective in preventing transmission of HIV.

I guarantee that any one in the scientific community that reads this statement : Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens. will draw the exact same conclusion...

Fortunately, a molecular biologist dropped by and asked what I was up to. When I told him what I was arguing about he laughed pretty hard. I won't repeat the derogatory comments he made about you guys, but suffice it to say that he was not impressed with your reasoning.

You are grossly misinterpreting the CDCs statement. You are choosing to completely ignore the intent of the statement and apply a definition of "essentially" that was obviously not intended. Any of the other definitions of the word make more sense in this context.

now... lets drop this discussion. it seems your goal is to always be correct even when the evidence that you have posted contradicts your stance

None of the evidence I posted contradicts my stance. A gross misinterpretation of a clear statement is not contradictory evidence.

My only conclusion is that you are arguing this simply to antagonize me. I refuse to believe that you are stupid enough to actually believe what you are saying.

I, and I'm sure many others, are rapidly losing respect for you because of your inability to accept simple and thoroughly proven facts or your antagonistic nature, whatever the case may be.

This will be my last post in this thread, as I can see you have no interest in listening to reason.
